5-foot-9, 160-pound, RHH hits from a balanced stance with no real stride, has a tiny load, simple swing is short and a little steep to the ball but flattens out through contact, line drive and singles approach. Defensively, gets behind the ball and plays through it smoothly and with confidence, exchange is clean and arm delivers firm throws on line, footwork could get a little quicker.
7/27/16 - Home-1st: 4.73, Position Velocity: 80, Exit Velocity: 78
5-foot-8, 155-pound, RHH hits from a balanced and even stance and stands fairly tall in the box, uses a short and early stride onto the toe of his front foot and hardly any hand movement at all to get loaded, lower half glides a little bit and causes him to drag his backside through at times, seems to get a little stiff and push hands through the zone at the end, did hit a hard 2B in game play. Defensively, did well at getting behind the ball and playing through it with some athleticism, really only caught himself out of rhythm once, showed a pretty clean transfer into a long and over-the-top arm action that made for some very accurate throws with good carry.
7/27/16 - Max FB: 77, FB: 74-77, CB: 61-62,
5-foot-8, 155-pound, RHP uses some good tempo through his motion and does a good job of attempting to utilize his entire body with each pitch, gathers closed with a fairly high leg lift and gets a huge shoulder tilt before heading toward the plate, strides in line and almost always finishes balanced and intact with the occasional fall toward 1B, long arm action can get a little rushed at times and comes through a high ¾ to over-the-top release point. Fastball stayed mostly straight and his curveball showed a good deal of gradual movement with 11/5 shape.
