5-foot-11, 155-pound frame with long limbs and good frame potential. Offensively, shows good presence in the box. Setup is athletic and very balanced. Showed a knack for finding the barrel with a well balanced line drive approach. Showed ability to stay through baseball with good direction. Loads his hands back during negative move as opposed to positive move causing him to lose bat speed and whip through the zone. Defensively, shows high awareness of what he is doing with the glove. Very smooth footwork and is able to get the ball out quick while maintaining quality arm strength and carry. A player to keep an eye on as he physically develops.
7/24/18 - Home-1st: 4.34, Position Velocity: IF-77, Exit Velocity: 71 5-foot-11, 140-pound, RHH picked up a couple hits in game, including a double. Medium, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, projectable. Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential. Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into shift of weight, stride to square and very short hand load. Learning to control his lower half in his swing, back leg tends to be along for the ride and does not get engaged. Still head allows for barrel feel, knack for contact, zero swing and miss on 5 swings in game. All fields, line drive oriented approach at his best. Likes to go to right center. Gap power type, wants to use his above average speed to leg out extra bases. Will tap into more power as frame develops, gets lower half involved. Defensively, shows soft hands and an idea of how to play through the baseball w/ good feet to align him for his throw w/ projectable arm strength.
