6/13/18 - Home-1st: 4.50, Position Velocity: IF-80, Exit Velocity: 76 6-foot-1, 155-pound, RHH showed intriguing all-around skillset as frame matures. Medium, athletic frame w/ lean strength, super projectable. Has not scratched the surface of his frame potential. Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into leg kick to slightly open, shift of weight and proper load. Generates bat speed through the zone. Tools to hit, was leaking slightly on this day while struggling with timing. Better in game hitter than what he showed in game. Struggles were mainly due to the landing open we had not seen previously, which took his body away from the baseball as he was entering the point of contact. Proper bat path w/ barrel staying in zone long time suggests he will hit a lot once he controls his body. Had a solid BP, where he hit line drives to all fields and that’s the type of in game hitter we expect to see from him moving forward. Projectable pull power w/ chance for up the middle power as frame matures. Projectable average runner. Defensively, moves well w/ soft hands at SS, plays through the ball well w/ arm strength w/ carry to target. Projects to stay at SS at the next level.
