Rhys Thomas (‘24, Bearden) The senior Johnson University signee would have a pitching performance similar to the greats of the 90’s. Working with a heavy sinker with late action he would get ahead of the count very well. Forcing hitters to take uncomfortable swings at low fastballs that were often pounded into the ground as easy grounders. He would top at 83 early and sat in the low 8’s high 70s but it was all he would need to be effective. A very easy and repeatable motion there is more velocity to come for the senior.
