Parker Free, Oak Ridge (TN), 2027 Positional Profile: C/2B Body: 5-8, 165-pounds. Compact and athletic frame with present strength, especially in the lower half. Hit: RHH. Wide and athletic stance that sees his feet slightly open, hands begin high above his shoulder with bat relaxed behind his body. Small rearward move loads the back hip, and a forward move sees him get into a great position at launch with good separation. Uses the whole field very well with hard hit line drives, creates natural lift that saw him hit several balls deep to both gaps. 68.8 mph bat speed with 4 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 82.2 mph. 329' max distance. Arm: RH. C-76 mph. Great arm action for behind the dish with a quick and whippy arm action. Defense: 2.03-2.22 pop times. Great feel for blocking both in bullpens and game setting, during throwdowns can get a bit jumpy and reaches a bit putting himself in a slower positon for the throw. ATH: 7.36 runner in the 60.

Parker Free (‘27, Oak Ridge) The Freshmen showed a developed field general ability behind the plate for Oak Ridge. Free is an extremely hard worker behind the plate and made some crucial blocks in big moments. He would show off his arm throwing out a would-be baserunner, has a very quick transfer and gains ground directly toward second. Showed off some great still developing metrics at the TN Preseason Allstate in february, 2.03 poptime, 75 mph C velo, 92 exit velo. Had quality at bats at the plate, collecting an RBI although he would go hitless on the day. Free will be a catcher to watch in his High School years and should be a leader and middle of the order bat for the years to come.
