6/13/18 - Max FB: 84, FB: 82-83, Avg FB: 82.74, CB: 68-69, SL: 73
6-foot-4, 180-pound, LHP shows super projectable frame w/ easy arm-speed. Tall, athletic, high-waisted frame w/ present lower half strength, super projectable. Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential. Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ to 3/4 release from the third base side of the rubber. Works with a pre-set back foot that he resets as he begins his delivery. Quick arm. Occasional short pause at the top of his delivery, learning how to use his lower half to get his arm on time. Occasionally pushes off too early, back leg doesn’t do the same thing every pitch. FB shows short arm-side run. Medium downer CB w/ proper shape and rotation, flashes average depth. SL shows ¾ tilt, early breaker. Around the zone on this day, projects to command as he repeats his delivery. Generated 2 swing and misses on 10 swings, including 2 of 8 on his FB.
11/18/17 - Max FB: 81, FB: 80-81, CH: 70-74, SL: 68-69
6-foot-4, 175-pound, LHP w/ projectable frame and easy velocity. Tall, athletic frame oozing projection, just scratching the surface of his physical potential. Prototypical pitcher frame. Pitches from a full wind-up w/ short rocker step into first base side of rubber. Balance point into leg drive and H ¾ release. Repeatable delivery w/ easy velocity. Waiting for body maturation to match arm-speed. Angle. FB w/ occasional short arm-side run. SL is a slurve w/ short ¾ tilt. CH w/ arm-speed, fade and sink. Projects to command.
9/17/17 - Max FB (82), FB (80-82), CB (69-71)
6-3, 175-pound lefty had a quick 3 hitter outing in his return to the mound by design. Pitched from the stretch only due to runners being on. H 3/4 release in a repeatable delivery. Slight stab in back. Fastball shows some arm side run. CB is medium downer that flashed. Still getting back in the swing of things, bit of a thrower in this outing. Upside arm.
12/10/16 - 60 Time: 7.73, Position Velocity: , Exit Velocity: 84
6-foot-3, 168-pound, LHH hits from a balanced and closed stance with more upright posture, uses a leg kick and stride with a lowering of his hands to get loaded, lower half is powerful and does a good job getting through, considering how closed he is, swing plane is flat through the zone and gets good extension through the ball with his long arms, lift at the very end of his swing allows him to really drive the ball when he squares it up.
12/10/16 - Max FB: 84, FB: 82-84, CB: 67-69, CH: 67-68,
6-foot-3, 168-pound, LHP is a very smooth and free-moving lefty, showed good tempo and utilized his momentum throughout the delivery, hands come up with a higher leg lift and allow him to get his front side loaded and gathered at the top, hands break on the way down as his stride leg lands in a closed position, long and loose arm action is smooth through a high ¾ slot and quite easily gets out and over his front side, big time upside. Fastball was very firm with downward tilt and some slight run, curveball had 1/7 shape and could develop into a swing and miss pitch, changeup was a little erratic but showed some fade when thrown correctly.
