RHP Nathan Reed (Arlington, 2024) the Tigers would have a pair of dominant starts on the mound Friday evening and one of those would come from Itawamba CC recruit & ‘24 RHP Nathan Reed. Nothing but electric stuff from the right hander as he came out of the gate firing fastballs in the upper-80’s and touched 89 mph on several occasions early on in his outing. His breaking ball (72-74 mph) was a key pitch for him as he showed advanced feel for the pitch, showing the ability to locate it for strikes when needed as it had some late, tight bite to the pitch. Reed would also flash a 78-79 mph changeup that displayed some arm side action and would generate some weaker contact to LHH’s. A lengthy, lean and athletic frame at 6-0, 185-pounds, there is plenty more left in the tank for the soon to be JUCO arm.
