Major Osbolt (Science Hill, 2024) Osbolt, an uncommitted 2024 grad, got the ball for Science Hill in their district opener against Daniel Boone. The senior brings a tall and long frame at 6 foot 3 and 190 pounds. He showed dominant stuff early in the game with a very clean first couple innings, striking out the side in the first and a 1-2-3 second. Osbolt showed an easy low to mid 80s fastball which topped at 85 and held velocity well. He also featured a breaking ball in the low 70s with sharp movement. Allowed 2 runs early in the 1st on wild pitches, also got into some trouble in the third with some missed spots. When his command was on he showed great feel for the top of the zone and either side of the plate. He’s got lots of room to continue and add velocity as the season progresses and he looks to find a home for next fall.
