6/14/17 - Max FB: 77, FB: 74-77, CB: 65-69
6-foot-0, 165-pound, RHP stays slow throughout his motion while remaining compact and connected throughout.  Atkins builds up to a release where he shows a little bit of aggressiveness.  He maintains posture, staying tall throughout his delivery and uses a slightly closed stride.  Fastball was mostly straight and his curveball acted a lot like a slider with its 11/5 to 10/4 shape through the zone.

1/29/17 - Max FB: 80, FB: 79-80, CB: 68-70, CH: 69-74,
6-foot-0, 165-pound, RHP has an athletic build and uses a long and extremely slot delivery, has trouble maintaining rhythm throughout his motion as he nearly pauses at two separate points, slow leg lift leaves his shoulders even and actually straightens out his front leg before heading home, strides and lands in line and leads to a shorter arm action through a high ¾ release point, finishes under control.  Fastball was straight, curveball was thrown for strikes with 11/5 shape with some sharpness, changeup was just a change of pace.

1/29/17 - Home-1st: 4.85, Position Velocity:  IF-66, Exit Velocity: 74
6-foot-0, 165-pound, RHH hits from a balanced and slightly open stance with slightly high hand positioning to begin, uses a short and simple stride with hardly any movement in his hands to get loaded, lower half gets through and even over-rotates at times but keeps him very tall with a straight back leg, swing plane is pretty flat, can get handsy, a lot of low line drives and ground balls in his round.  Defensively, showed above-average hands and footwork around the bag, could’ve played through the ball more smoothly, arm action is a little longer through a high ¾ slot.
