Knox Tenpenny, FRIENDSHIP CHRISTIAN SCHOOL (TN), 2028 Positional Profile: 2B/RHP Body: 5-10, 160-pounds. Long and lean with an athletic look to him, lots of room to continue to grow and add size and strength. Hit: RHH. Slightly wider than shoulder width stance with his weight favoring his back leg 60/40. Hands begin raised slightly above his rear shoulder. Small leg kick and load of the hands starts the swing, at footplant he is in a good launch position for the swing to start. Rotates very well as the back leg drives, causing the back leg to come up slightly into a balance finish. worked towards the middle of the field and the left field gaps, has a tendency to drop the barrel and get under it. Look for more barrel control and speed from his swing in the coming years. Power: 80 max exit velocity, averaged 69.7 mph. 266' max distance. Arm: RH. INF-73 mph. OF-75 mph. Showed the ability to throw from different slots, mainly working from a ¾ slot. Accurate throws from the still developing arm. Defense: Mostly passive when fielding, never super aggressive towards the ball preferring to let it come to him. Better feel for the glove with solid footwork. ATH: 8.31 runner in the 60.
