6’0, 205-pound, RHH showed some development at the plate that has allowed him to barrel the ball more consistently and provide a little more power.  Spurlock stays pretty tall throughout his swing, but drops his hands into a slot just before attacking the ball.  He can get a little long at times, but when his timing is right, he can drive the ball in the air with some gap pop.  Defensively, he is sufficient at 1B and has the ability to make the routine plays.  Spurlock went 1-3 in game play. 

1/16/17 - 60 Time: 7.31, Position Velocity:  IF-79, Exit Velocity: 90
6-foot-0, 205-pound, RHH hits from a more narrow and upright stance with some pretty high hand positioning to begin, uses a longer stride and a very slight movement back with his hands to get loaded, lower half usually gets his hips through but pulls his body forward with his stride and tends to be very tall with a straight back leg on contact, swing plane is steep into and through the zone because of how high his hands begin, generates very good bat speed but can come around the ball with his pull approach.  Defensively, showed average hands and footwork around the bag, has the ability to make all the plays but could work through it more smoothly, exchange takes an extra step and leads to a slightly longer arm action through a high ¾ slot.
