6/19/18 - Jackson was uncommitted when he stepped to the mound at the Midwest Prospect League, but committed to Purdue shortly after. Long and lean at 6-foot-4, 175-pounds, I have watched Jackson steadily progress for awhile now. He was up to 91 mph early on while still showcasing his longer, loose arm stroke with quick hand speed out front that makes me believe there may still be more velocity in the tank. I saw an improved breaking ball that worked at 72-74 with 11/5 shape and multi-tier break early in counts, and more slurve-type action later on. Jackson has wiry-athleticism that should allow him to continue to make adjustments moving forward, and the steady progress that he has made over the past two years may place him on some MLB Draft boards next spring.

6/13/17 - Max FB: 87, FB: 84-87, CB: 69-71, CH: 79-80,
6-foot-3, 175-pound, RHP continued to impress with the length and athleticism he shows on the mound.  A quick and loose arm that gets some run on the ball and jumps at the hitter can be hard to square up.  Curveball showed its usual 12/6 action with some sharpness at the plate.  Jackson is getting better with his changeup, which could add another weapon to his arsenal.  Velo continues to improve and doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.  Jackson earned a spot on the Future Games roster.

2/12/17 - Max FB: 87, FB: 84-86, CB: 69-72, CH: 76-79,
6-foot-3, 175-pound, RHP still possesses his long and athletic frame, shows flexibility and length through an extremely high leg lift at the top that gets him loaded up to explode toward the plate, creates some real tilt with his shoulders and gets down the mound in line, finishes with a slight fall toward the 1B line, long and loose arm action comes quickly through a high ¾ slot. Fastball was firm with some run, curveball was powerful with some sharp 11/5 action, changeup showed sink when kept down in the zone.  One of the top pitchers in the 2019 class.

7/26/16 - Max FB: 85, FB: 81-85, CB: 65-66,
6-foot-2, 155-pound, RHP was one of the top arms at the entire event and earned himself a spot on Tennessee’s PBR Future Games roster.  Jackson is a long and athletic pitcher with an arm that screams potential.  He shows flexibility and balance with an extremely high leg lift and a long stride that gets on the hitter quickly, very long and extremely loose arm action is something you don’t see often and leads to a ¾ to high ¾ release point and a smooth finish.  Fastball stayed down and came through the zone hard and heavy, breaking ball showed some sharp 11/5 shape and can certainly become a big time strikeout pitch, changeup was only thrown in warmups and seemed to have a little run.  Jackson is a huge follow in the 2019 class that should see enormous velocity increases in the next couple of years.
