7/5/17 - 60 Time: 7.35, Position Velocity: IF-77, Exit Velocity: 93
6-2, 210-pound, RHH hits from a balanced and upright position with relaxed hands, uses a leg kick and a big gather with his hands to get loaded, lower half explodes and creates some good separation while keeping him behind the ball, bat path is slightly up through the zone and can really lift the ball, strength to drive through the ball and showed big power, hitting a home run and driving multiple balls to the wall, can use the whole field. Defensively, moved well around the bag showing good hands and footwork, arm strength is very good. Earned spot on the Future Games roster.
6-foot-2, 195-pound, RHH hit from the same taller and slightly open stance we have seen from him in the past, added a little bigger but still abbreviated leg kick with his general stride and an active lowering and movement back with his hands to get loaded, lower half explodes and helps create a ton of bat speed with a flat path through the zone that provides some lift, his round of BP was one of the most impressive of the weekend, hit balls hard all over the field and showed some pop with deep and driven fly balls to left center. Defensively, showed above average hands and footwork around the bag, knows how to play the position and can make all of the routine plays, uses longer arm action through a high ¾ slot. Sherrill had one of the best offensive showings of the weekend, going 3-5 with a HBP and 2 runs scored.
6/15/16 - 60 Time: 7.54, Position Velocity: IF-75, OF-80, Exit Velocity: 88
6'2, 190-pound, RHH hits from a tall and slightly open stance and uses some rhythmic bat movement throughout his pre-swing routine, leg kick and a big hand load down and back are used to get himself going. Lower half is ignited with that leg kick and gets really engaged early in the swing, doesn’t always get all the way through but provides him a good base, barrel takes a good route through the zone and helped him to show some warning track power by driving balls deep into the gaps, was a little late getting set in BP but hit 2 triples off the wall in RCF in game play. Defensively, showed sure hands but average and sometimes flat footwork at the 1B position, knows his way around the bag and used a long arm action through a high ¾ angle to show some average arm strength across the infield.
7/26/16 - Home-1st: 4.91, Position Velocity: 82, Exit Velocity: 91
6-foot-2, 165-pound, RHH hits from a tall and athletic stance with a little bat waggle to stay loose, uses a quick and abbreviated leg kick along with a slight drop and push back of the hands to get loaded, lower half helps but isn’t used to its fullest potential as he sometimes finishes on his back heel, bat path is slightly upward and produces a lot of line drives and deep fly balls, power potential. Defensively, gets behind the ball well but doesn’t attack it or work through it very consistently, stays under control, longer transfer and arm action lead to a high ¾ arm slot and throws with average arm strength and accuracy. Had a 1B and an RBI in game play and has shown ability to play 1B in the past, as well.
