A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.
Jack Spence, Science Hill (TN), 2028 Positional Profile: SS/2B Body: 5-4, 118-pounds. Light stature frame with time to mature through puberity and develop. Has plenty of room to add size and mass to build. Delivery: Uses his whole body really well to maximize his force output. Late arm speed as he stays calm with his body before firing with excess intent. Gets around his offspeed at times. Will need to develop the necessary feel for pronation and body control as he cuts himself off to force break on his front leg, instead of allowing his arm action and wrist positioning upon release to affect those pitches currently. Arm Action: RH. Quicker arm with appealing arm slot and postion from 3/4. FB: T63, 61-63 mph. Fastball will play by getting ahead. Has a lobbing shape to it still so will need to continue to develop arm strength and speed. Can look to stay away and attack lower level of strike zone. T1886, 1768 average rpm. CB: 51-59 mph. Had some feel for creating breaking ball effect with downward 1/7 action. Spin could use some addtional RPM's as it lacks some late sharp bite to it. Will play working off fastball down in the zone to off the plate. T1769, 1726 average rpm. CH: 59-59 mph. CH was blended heavily with his fastball as it carried a lot of hop and little to no arm side movement. Will need to work on staying on the pitch and inside longer with late pronation. Killed spin so ability is present. T1319, 1278 average rpm. ATH: 8.82 runner in the 60. 2.04 and 4.77 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.

Jack Spence, Science Hill (TN), 2028 Positional Profile: SS/2B Body: 5-4, 118-pounds. Light stature frame with time to mature through puberity and develop. Has plenty of room to add size and mass to build. Hit: RHH. Natural upright stance. Loads with a back lean load and early planting of the front foot. Gives himself time to adjust to the pitch as he lacks some hand speed at this stage. Understands of working the hips into his swing. Could look to gain further hand seperation from body and incorporate his lower half for more of a ground up effect, which will aid him in more bat speed and better contact. Slight even uppercut with cutting off the finish of his swing. Will look to hit backside through the 4 hole. 46.7 mph bat speed with 14 G’s of rotational acceleration. Power: 69 max exit velocity, averaged 60.3 mph. 197' max distance. Arm: RH. INF-63 mph. OF-63 mph. Quick arm from a shorter lever sling of the throw. Defense: Works well for his size to cover ground. Shows ability to stay low but can keep the chest up at times for a sit instead of a hidge forward. Made routine plays. ATH: 8.82 runner in the 60. 2.04 and 4.77 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
