1/18/16 - 6-foot-1, 180-pound righty uses a controlled motion with some fluent tempo to deliver pitches from a high-3/4 arm slot, somewhat of a drop and drive type delivery, falls to his glove side from time to time, long arm action with some effort produced a fastball from 75-77 in the zone, curveball sat 69-70 with good arm speed and some 11/5 action and stayed down, changeup was anywhere from 68-72 with occasional fade, cutter at 70-73 had some decent late movement, also dropped down to a sidearm angle for a few pitches without losing any velocity. As a position player, hits from a mostly upright stance and utilizes a fair amount of bat movement to initiate the swing, short stride and hand settling help to establish a load position, room for improvement in the actual swing, as Beck could use more torque from his lower half, very handsy type swing, produced an exit velocity of 75 mph off the tee.  Defensively, could see improvement in his fluidity and ability to work through the ball with a rhythm, did show a solid position velocity of 76 mph from across the infield, along with some accuracy through his long arm action. Beck ran a 7.50 60-yard dash.
