Cape Cod: Fisher went undrafted this summer after contact issues presented this spring and loomed over an otherwise solid offensive profile that included a .288/.412/.607 slash line, and 36 of his 66 hits going for extras (18 home runs, 17 doubles and a triple). He utilizes a compact swing that stays on plane with some natural lift, resulting in very good juice to the pullside. He can roll his front side at time, leaving him vulnerable away (which is where we most frequently saw pitchers getting balls past him). Middle-in, however, he may have been as dangerous as any other lefty we saw on the Cape. Fisher has an idea when it comes to approach, showing some feel for the zone and ability to adjust depending on the situation, but needs more fulsome coverage of the zone to push his production up a notch. He's a long strider on the bases who covers ground quickly and utilizes his jumps and reads well enough to regularly stretch the extra base on singles. Defensively, fisher covered good ground in left field and could be a quality defender there, though his arm strength and accuracy was inconsistent in our viewings. Fisher will return to campus with a good chance for draft selection next summer if he can show slightly better coverage of the zone at the plate and profiles as a future fourth outfield type who could cover center field in a pinch (though the value in his profile is really tied to his offensive upside and power that could translate at the next level). He'll be a close follow for area scouts with Carolina coverage and belongs on potential "helium" lists for next spring thanks to his power upside and athleticism.

5/20/22

Athleticism and strength in a 6-foot-2, 210-pound frame. Left hand hitter. Squared balls up in three of his four at-bats. Crushed a 376' homerun (103.6 mph exit velocity) to right, turning around a fastball that was up and out over the place, laced a double (106.2 EV) into the right center gap, and stayed through a fastball at the bottom of the zone to right center for a base hit (92 EV). Set up balanced with an athletic base, bat resting on his back shoulder, simple load. He will crowd the plate and close up his base when facing a left handed pitcher. Gets his barrel in the zone early and stays through with a flat path. Loose swing that generates bat speed with ease. Went over the batter's eye in BP and left the yard to the opposite field gap on occasion. Consistent line drives that carry off the barrel to both gaps. Accurate arm with carry from the outfield. 4.58 on the turn from home to first.

Home-1st: 4.58, Pop Time: 2.08-2.20, Position Velocity:  72, Exit Velocity: 82
6-foot-1, 160-pound, LHH hits from a tall and balanced stance and showed some good pre-pitch movement of his hands to create some rhythm, uses a leg kick and a barrel tilt that almost raises his hands to get loaded, lower half doesn’t quite get through and causes him to stay very tall on his backside and create a steep bat path through the zone, finishes on his front side and straight up and down a bit.  Defensively, showed average hands and footwork as he uses a low transfer and strides a little open on his throws to 2B, shorter arm action through a high ¾ release point produced some average throws with decent carry.
