Offensive Analysis: Open stance, hands just off the back shoulder. Toe tap leg kick times the swing and loads the hands down and back. Strong lower half in the swing with a flat path. Generates some pop in his BP rounds, driving the gap multiple times. Two handed level finish.
Defensive Analysis: Short quick approach steps. Athletic fielding position with soft hands. Packing load with a short OTT arm slot. Maintains momentum through the fielding process. Athletic at the edges of his range. Could see time at multiple infield spots.
Pitching Mechanics/Delivery: Short rocker step. Athletic balance point, landing square to the target. Working through an OTT arm slot. Quick tempo with a tall and fall delivery. Falls to the glove side in his finish.
Pitch Action: Showed sporadic control at times. Was able to overcome. Located FB in the lower half of the zone. FB worked up to 80 with some arm side action present. Heavy tendencies. Some feel for off speed present.
Physical athlete with a high waist and moderately strong frame. An open, slightly crouched stance at the plate leads to a controlled knee to knee load. Rushed through the lower half at times and struggled to consistently get the barrel to contact point. Hands load down and back and attack the zone from a lower slot. The ball comes off the bat with pop at times and could translate into potential plus power as he matures. (78 mph exit velo) Utility man worked as both an infielder and outfielder and showed a nice arm for his age with throws that carried to the target at 70 mph. Footwork is short and choppy at times but should smooth out as he matures. FB 68-69 topping at 70 on the mound with erratic command at times.
