3/20/21
5-foot-10, 225-pound, stronger, thick athletic frame, durable pitchers frame. A left-handed pitcher, delivery is repetitive, building momentum down the mound. The lift is athletic, staying over the backside, stride is inline with length. The arm action is clean, working from a high 3/4 slot, short on the backside. The fastball is heavy, touching 76 mph, located to both sides of the plate, showing bore action to it. Mixed in a very good changeup, natural arm side shape and fade to it, looks like a fastball coming out of the hand. Showed a get me over breaking ball. The frame and body have improves, competes and works very hard at his craft.
7/21/20
Scotti is a physical 5-foot-10, 220 pound left-handed pitching prospect. He works out of a modified stretch, that allows him to keep a consistent line with home plate. He remains balanced throughout the delivery and uses a short, higher arm slot to attack hitters. The tracking of the front shoudler can remain online longer as he makes his way into foot strike. The fastball sat 71-74 MPH and he located it on both sides of the plate. The breaking ball was 66-67 MPH with good depth. The spin pitch can improved with added fastball hand speed to the pitch.
10/05/19
5-foot-10. 205-pound left-handed pitcher. The fastball sat 75-76 mph, arm side action to the pitch. The spin pitch sat 65-67 mph, needs additional fastball hand speed added to the pitch. The changeup is 67-68 mph, and a work in progress. The delivery is online with the feet and the slot is above 3/4 in action. The tracking of the front shoulder is done appropriately and he post the glove side as he gets into foot strike. This allows him to stay with his arm and compete. Solid feel for what he is doing at a young age. More than likely a follow for colleges as he matures in age and stuff improves.
6/16/19
5-foot-10, 205-pound, thick durable athletic frame, well proportioned. A two-way player, hits from the right side, feet are even at shoulder width, higher hands, with an elevated back elbow. The swing is down to level, its short to contact, stays through it and finishes with two hands. The approach is more middle to pull, one line drive after another. The tee exit velocity is firm at 81mph. Defensively, works from a higher throwing slot, clocked at 83 mph. The hands are soft on the catch, stands up quick, could stay lower and gain more ground. Off the mound, higher hands in gather, controlled leg kick, arm working out of a 3/4 to higher 3/4 slot. Short recoil, could finish more. The fastball touched 75 mph, located it to both sides of the plate. The breaking pitch was clocked at 65 mph, showed proper spin and shape to it. Controlled the running game, operating with different looks and times to the plate. Good looking player, time will tell which way he goes, like him off the bump.
