Tommy Turner: RHP/OF, (2023) Coventry, RI. Connecticut Commit, 5-foot-11, 175-pound athletic solid frame. Projectable and athletic in the box, Turner's best exit velocity was 98 mph. (72.3 mph bat speed average). (23.4 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a wrapping load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed was above average quick, had a loose uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Aggressive approach. Clocked a time of 7.08 in the 60-yard dash. Above average and confident on the mound, showed above average  arm speed with a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Up-tempo type pitcher and shows high effort. Falling off shoulders with a consistent balance point. Lands closed with recoil finish. Sat with his fastball at 92-93 mph; has running action and arm side command. (Max spin 2292; Avg 2187). Has glove side control and slurvey action on his 11/5 curveball (76-78). (Max spin 2197; Avg 2050). His changeup (79-80) has gradual fading action and arm side command.

Hit: (RHH) Projectable and athletic. Began in a balanced athletic stance with a wrapping load, then used a small leg kick. Above average quick bat speed. Good extension on his finish, loose uphill swing. Aggressive approach. 

Power: 98 mph exit velocity, average 87.3 mph. 72.3 mph bat speed average. 23.4 mph hand speed average.

Speed: 7.08 (60-yard).

Pitching: Above average and confident. Up-tempo delivery, high effort. High ¾ arm angle, above average  arm speed, loose arm action. Consistent balance point, falling off shoulders, lands closed, recoil finish.

FB: T93. 92-93 mph. (Max spin 2292;  Avg 2187). Arm side accuracy, running action. 

CB: 76-78 mph. Glove side command, slurvey action, 11/5 shape. (Max spin 2197; Avg 2050). 

CH: 79-80 mph. Arm side control, gradual fading action. 

5-foot-11, 175-pound, strong, solid athletic frame, lower half is strong and durable. A right-handed pitcher, compact, quick tempo delivery, repeats it with ease. More of a hybrid start, gets loaded on the backside, direction is inline, square to the plate on release. The arm action is short and quick on the backside, works from a high 3/4 slot. Working downhill, lives in the bottom part of the zone, the fastball reached 89 mph, a heavy ball, pounds the zone. Throws are a harder curveball, will translate to a slider at the higher level, clocked at 72 mph. At the plate, even feet at the shoulders, hands are set slightly lower. The swing is level to up, with more of a pull approach, with an exit velocity 89 mph. Projecting to be a frontline are at the next level, potential to be a draft pick at some point.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.44

5-foot-11, 170-pound, average athletic frame, showing strength throughout, plus strength in hands and in legs. A legit, two-way player, at the plate, starts slightly open, gets back to even on foot strike. The hands are relaxed, a level to up path, approach is gap to gap, with plenty of juice in the hands and swing. The exit velocity was clocked at 90 mph, a real good runner, ran a 6.76 sixty-yard dash, powerful legs. From the outfield, threw an easy 85 mph, approach is under control, gaining ground in transfer. Plenty of flight and carry to the baseball. Off the mound, fastball reached 87 mph, getting through the catcher located to both sides of the plate. More in there with added legs to delivery. The breaking ball has very good spin to it, clocked at 72 mph, swing and miss slider. Good looking player in the 2023 class.
