6-foot-3, 160-pound, long, lengthy athletic frame, has plenty of room for future development. A left-handed hitter, has a taller, shorter stance which is slightly open. The hands are set at shoulder height, bat angle has a little wrap to it, hands are loaded up and stay back. For timing uses a controlled leg raise, which he gains ground with. The swing path is down to contact, stays through it and then finishes with two hands at shoulder height. The approach is to all fields. The hands are loose and work freely through the zone, shows to have average power at this point, with added strength will turn himself into a gap power hitter. Defensively, attacks the baseball in outfield, angles and routes were good. The arm action is shorter, has a slight hesitation on the backside of the arm swing. Throws were downhill, clocked at 73 mph, don't slow arm down. The foot work was good, steps through hard and gains ground to transfer. Off the mound, this left-handed pitcher, has a controlled delivery. The hands start and stay high, the arm slot is ¾ to high ¾. The arm path is short, stops it on the back, which takes away from some velocity. The direction is inline, could land slightly softer, has some recoil. The fastball was clocked at 64-68 mph, located well to glove side. The breaking ball had more sweeping action to it, clocked at 56-59 mph and the changeup was clocked at 56-58. Projects for me as more of hitter, shows the ability to handle the bat with potential to drive the baseball as he gets stronger.
