6-20-18
5-foot-11, 170-pound, wiry strong athletic frame, the neck is long, shoulders sloped, has plenty of room to fill out. Simple, easy delivery from the stretch. Tempo in the way he works on the bump, with a controlled leg lift before transitioning into attack position. Long, clean arm swing on the backside, throws from a 3/4 slot. Creates extension with downhill plane upon release. 1.25 seconds to the plate. Repeated mechanics and found arm slot with consistency. Shows feel for his craft during game situations, tallying nine strikeouts to go along with weak contact. The fastball has some late life and gets on top of hitters quick as a result, coming in between 82-87 MPH, and comfortably in the 84-85 MPH range. Worked all quadrants of the strike zone with the pitch, displaying advanced command of the primary offering. Adds in a swing-and-miss curveball between 69-72 MPH, showing a substantial jump since last season. The curve features sharp vertical break with an ability to sequence it effectively off the fastball, even pitching backwards off of it. The changeup has made strides since last season as well. It comes in at 76-77 MPH and created some fading action. Should at least serve as a show me pitch against opposing handed hitters. An exciting right-handed pitcher who continues to show progress year over year, showing the makeup to make the necessary adjustments at the next level. DI programs looking for a late arm should seriously check him out before the summer ends.

5-foot-11, 155-pound, wiry strong, super athletic frame. A fast twitched athlete, is well proportioned, has room to fill out. A right-handed pitcher, who has a fast, clean arm, baseball absolutely jumps out of his hand. The delivery is sound, repeats it with ease. The hands start high, with side step, they work downward, leg raise is athletic, could stay over the rubber slightly longer. The front side is strong, it's in line and gets good extension on release. The arm action has average length to it, works out of a natural ¾ slot. The fastball was clocked at 80-83 mph, with above average action and sink to arm side. The breaking ball was clocked at 65-68 mph, needs to stay inline with breaking ball, looks to pop open slightly, which in return, doesn't always get to the plate. When he is on time, it's good, rotation, has proper spin and shape to it. The changeup is still a work in progress, clocked at 73-75 mph. Times to the plate were at 1.59. Took batting practice as well, had a tee exit velocity of 82 mph. The stance is slightly wider, hands are strong and barrel has life to it. Projects for me as a frontline arm, could be deadly out of the bullpen, with electric arm and breaking ball has a chance.
