6-foot, 185-pound, longer lean athletic frame. The neck is long, with room to fill out and add weight. A left-handed pitcher, easy clean athletic lift, gets to a good gather, weight on the back side. The arm path is a bottom to top path, slightly longer arm action. The arm works out of a 3/4 to over the top slot, pitching down hill. The stride is inline, shorter, work down through the plate. The fastball touched 77 mph, located down in the zone. The changeup is the better of the two secondary pitches, turns changeup over, gets sink and fade action, clocked at 69-71 mph. The breaking pitch is in the low 70's more slider break, later deeper break. Looks to work quick and attack the catcher.

6-foot, 175-pound left-handed pitcher. The 2020 graduate touched 76 mph with his fastball, arm side run to the pitch. The spin pitch is 65-66 mph, big in shape, needs more fastball hand speed to the pitch. The changeup is 67-70, cement mixer, as the seams are visible as it makes its way into the hitting zone. The delivery is online with his feet, slightly above ¾ in slot. The arm swing is long on the back, half, as you can see the ball behind his back as he makes his way into foot strike. The lift is repeated and athletic, small coil at the top. The glove side is soft and he keeps it under control. The hand speed on the secondary pitches is slower that his fastball, needs to keep consistent arm speed. Good 2020 follow.

6-foot, 160 pounds, lean, athletic, just beginning to fill out the frame. Throws from the left side out of a ¾ slot. More velocity in the frame once he begins leveraging his legs more. The fastball sat between 69-71 mph, generating the desired movement away from right handed hitters. The pitch was at its best in game when working low in the zone. His curveball, which was thrown between 60-66 mph, shows promise with a 12/6 shape and good vertical break. The spin can get tighter, and with it a sharper break, as Kirkpatrick becomes more comfortable with his breaking ball. Considering his age, the shape shows it can become a plus offering in the coming seasons. The changeup between 67-68 mph comes in too firm but gets some of the fading action hope for in the pitch. Working on command of the changeup and more separation from the fastball will be important to his long-term development. Overall, shows potential as a left handed pitcher that could develop three adequate offerings to compete at the next level. Will need to add strength and velocity in the coming years to make that happen.
