A two-way player, a left-handed hitter, feet are even wider setup, hands held higher, bat starts in more of a flat position. For timing uses a small pick up and put down, with stride foot, uses a minimal stride. The swing is flat through the zone, gets extension through the baseball. The approach is more line drive from the middle to opposite field had a tee exit velocity of 80 mph and ran a 4.45 from home to first. Defensively, worked out at third base, arm was clocked at 68 mph, working out of a higher slot. Looks to field out front, transfer is one step into release. Looked to be more comfortable moving to glove side starting the double play. Off the mound, this right-hander has a controlled delivery. The hands start low and work up with leg raise, looks to stay over the backside, strong post leg. The direction is inline, good finish out front, uses the entire frame to pitch the baseball. The arm action has average length, more of a bottom to top path, working out of a high ¾ slot. The fastball was clocked at 72 mph, more in there as he builds arm speed. The breaking ball was clocked at 63-65 mph, thrown from two different release points, giving a deception look. The changeup was clocked at 65-67 mph, thrown with good arm speed. Projectable frame, regimented throwing program will aid in his development.
