6/27/18

5-foot-9, 175-pound right-handed hitting infielder. Ran a 7.7 sixty on the laser at the event. Threw 68 mph across the diamond at the event, the arm works freely. The glove is solid, the footwork to and through the ball need to be cleaned up and smoothed out. He currently stops his feet during the process, needs to keep them moving to aid the throwing process. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 76 mph. Starts wide in base, uses a small pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches. The swing is long to contact, 1-hand finish after contact. Physical strength gains should aid the development of his game.

Tee Exit Velocity- 79 mph
INF Velocity - 68 mph
7/26/17
5-foot-9, 170 pounds, lean and athletic. Not an overly physical player but has a good middle infield frame. Straight line speed is slightly below average but makes up for it with intangibles. Very polished defensively, good first step and slick glove. Fundamentally sound. Arm velocity clocked at 65 mph but his quick release helps it play up, though he will need to increase his arm strength in the coming seasons. Throws from a ¾ slot. Shows good flow into his backhand and adept at positioning himself in the best spot. His defense is his carrying tool. Offensively, he has a short, compact swing. The stance is even with a bend at the knees, as the hands starting right below the shoulders with a moderate leg kick. Little pre-pitch movement with the bat, one hand finish. Level swing meant to hit line drives to all fields. As he adds strength, he should be able to consistently hit gap-to-gap. The bat is still developing but shows promise and he is a patient hitter. Overall, he should stick up the middle defensively, but may move over to second base long-term.
