6-foot-1, 175-pound left-handed hitting middle infielder. Ran a solid 6.72 sixty on the laser at the event. The glove is soft in the infield and the feet work appropriately. Threw 79 mph across the diamond with accuracy. Probably more suited to play second base at the next level. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 85 mph, as physical strength is needed to aid development. Starts with his feet wide and uses a small pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches the barrel. The bat path is in and out of the strike zone very quickly, needs to be shortened and flattened to handle college pitching.
Tee Exit Velocity- 85 mph
INF Velocity- 79 mph
Athletic left-handed hitting infielder that is developing very well as he matures. The glove is advanced, handles the pivot, made the slow roller play and worked from the ground up on his backhand. The arm is clean with strength to it, threw 75 mph with carry and accuracy. Ran a 4.46 on a dig to first. Swung the bat well in the game, barreling up the ball during his at bats. The tee exit velocity was 83 mph. Hits out of a wide base with a big leg left as the ball approaches. As long as he gets his foot down in time, he is in position. The bat has wiggle to it, as he occasionally wraps it, the swing path is clean, the hands work well to the ball. The frame is currently thin, he needs strength to it.
8/16/15
Lanky left-handed hitting middle infielder who showed very well for me. In the field, he showed good hands, a reliable glove and plenty of arm. He threw 75 across the diamond out of a short arm path with carry. He moves well and showed a good approach to the ball. Offensively, he needs strength as the tee exit velocity is 73. The setup is even and the high elbow start leads to a long swing. The path is flat but it is long. With some fine tuning he could be a high level left-handed hitting middle infielder as he showed good speed and instincts on the base paths.
