Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.
6-foot-6, 205-pound, large, long athletic frame, squared off shoulders wider back, monster frame. A right-handed hitting two-way player. Off the mound, this right-hander has a smooth delivery, repeats it well for the size of him. The deliver is more hybrid, hands start lower, lift is smooth and athletic, with coil to it at its peak. The stride is inline, gets good extension and out front on release. The arm action is long and clean on the backside, working from a 3/4 slot. The fastball reached 84 mph, action to it, and has a ton more in there. The breaking ball is thrown with good velocity, reached 70 mph, showing tilt and depth. Pitched a clean inning, with minimal contact. At the plate, a level to up, path, showing pop to the pull side. The exit velocity was clocked at 90 mph, has enough juice to beat the outfielders. At first base, moves well off the bag, feet and hands working together in transfer. The glove is soft, clean on the picks. A monster target to throw to. The arm was clocked at 78 mph, with plenty of strength across the diamond. Big follow off the mound, look for him to pitch at a very high level by the time its over.

6-foot-4, 178-pound, long, big, athletic frame. The neck is long, shoulders are squared off, has plenty of room to fill out and put added mass on. A right-handed hitting first baseman and pitcher, has big time projection off the mound. The delivery has tempo, repeats it well for his size. The hands start low, work up with leg raise, separation is on time, landing leg is inline to target, could throw against the front side a bit more. The arm has a slightly longer path, works out of a ¾ to high ¾ slot, its super clean and really works. The fastball has above average sink, clocked at 80 mph, baseball comes out of his hand well. Look for the velocity to make a big jump over the next year. The breaking ball is thrown slower, clocked at 62-64 mph, slows down on release, has the hand speed to eventually turn it into a small slider. The change up was clocked at 74 mph, still a work in progress needs to get comfortable with the grip. At the plate, has a wider set up, hands are set at the shoulders. The swing is level to up, approach is more middle of the field. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 88 mph, with more in there, slows down on contact. Runs well for a big kid, long strider, clocked at 4.44 down the line. With flattening of the path, chance to hit down the road. Defensively, hands are soft, good drop steps starting the double play, gets off the bag, moves well to throwing hand side. The arm was clocked at 75 mph. Big follow.
