Raw projectable at the plate, Monti was ranked 1st with an exit velocity of 94 mph.Started in an athletic open stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled toe tap stride. Has electric bat speed, simple upward swing plane and high finish. Found multiple barrels with tons of loud contacts. Gap to gap approach. Above average from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 76 mph; showed soft hands, athletic quick feet, and a twitchy exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had an-over-the-top slot and a short quick arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. The athletic recruit showcased his speed with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.85.
