Derek Asciolla: C/OF, (2025) Pilgrim, RI. 5-foot-4, 130-pound athletic strong frame. Projectable raw at the plate, Asciolla's 76 mph exit velocity ranks him 1st at the event. Starts in a tall athletic stance with a handsy load, then uses a big leg kick. Has quick bat speed, short an inside-out swing plane and high finish. Found some barrels with some loud contact. Gap to gap line drive approach. Solid from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 72 mph; showed a clean exchange, sure hands, and aggressive feet. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. While catching, his best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 64 mph; had soft hands, a quick transfer, and athletic quick footwork. Some flexibility and narrow setup. Showed a short quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.49.
