The bat head is quick and direct through the hitting zone, producing a max exit velocity of 86.9 MPH during the batting practice. He finishes on plane and remains balanced throughout. He also showed good foot-speed with a 6.9 second sixty.
Defensively, Kelly showed a lively arm in the outfield, with a max velocity of 78 MPH. The feet are light during his approach to the ball. The glove is relaxed, just off the front foot and allows him to transition well to the throwing position. He creates a direct line with the target and uses a short arm swing.
