Martinez has hit ever since he showed up this weekend and today wasn’t any different. He shows impressive instincts at the plate and will hit any pitch with authority. At 5-11 150 lbs he has the frame for the middle infield and maybe even 3rd. Can make a throw from anywhere on the infield and has adequate accuracy to make difficult throws with consistency. Martinez oozes confidence and plays ultra aggressive with high energy. He might have the best set of tools in the tournament.
Shortstop shows range up the middle with a strong arm across the diamond. At the plate Martinez has a quick bat and displays knowledge of the strike zone. Martinez is quick out of the box and able to stretch singles into doubles.
Standing 5-foot-11 and 150, he as an uber athletic build that he will continue to grow with. With a slightly open stance from the right side he has a slight leg kick and natural timing that allows for a consistent bat path conducive to line drive contact. Looks every bit of a short stop with footwork to go along with an arm that plays.
