Physical: Lengthy, uber-athletic 5-foot-11, 181lb frame with room to add. 6.70 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Upright, shoulder-width stance as the hands operated loosely, high and out over the plate. Utilized a short leg lift stride to initiate the swing through a flat, direct path with good separation on the first move. Adjustable hitter that maintained balance over the entire zone during his round. Middle, pull-side approach while recording a T96 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak. A 53% fly ball rate has translated into better batted ball distances (369 foot best).
Defensively: The outfielder slides around the field with natural, plus arm-talent. Good reads off the bat and covers space with rangy footwork in either direction. Works downhill on the touch, releasing from a full arm-circle at 93 mph. Centerfielder, ballhawk qualities.
6/13/21
Physical: The recent Bucknell commit is lean and projectable in a 5-foot-11, 181lb frame. Lengthy strides and 6.70 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Wide, balanced stance with center of gravity over the rear knee; utilized a deep, coiled load to the shoulder and used a repeatable leg lift stride to initiate the bat head through a quick/whippy, flat path into the hitting zone. The barrel lagged creating instant offense delivering at the front of the plate; sprayed hits around the diamond during gameplay and lived in the LCF gap over the course of his batting practice round. Worked into a stiff, adjustable front side and found the barrel often, mature approach. Notched an impressive 96 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary outfielder flashed true center fielder qualities. Long/lengthy in space and can run and go get it. Drove the chest downhill early and came and attacked the baseball with a soft glove hand working fluidly off the left foot. Accurate, long high ¾ slot with no restrictions, fluid arm swing and live 89 mph arm strength (carry, plus tool).
Pitching: RHP - Gradual pace to the delivery with high athleticism. Ran the FB up to T89 mph with advanced carry metrics pointing towards possible two way considerations down the road. Repeatable, held direction, and finished into a stiff/leveraged front side.
10/12/20
Physical: Lean / uber-athletic 6-foot-1, 178-pound frame with projectability in the build. 6.84 runner in the 60-yard dash with long strides and high level feel for his body. Offensively: RHH. Wide, balanced stance with good ground connection and strength in the setup as the hands started at a 45 degree angle at the shoulder. Utilized a controlled leg lift stride in order to initiate the hands through a fluid, efficient, flat barrel path and into the hitting zone. One of the top batting practice rounds of the event with ability to manipulate the bat head and match pitch plane in any quadrant. Short time to contact in the box with a solid 21.50 mph max hand speed per Blast Motion. Effortless power with long arms creating leverage at the front of the plate, repeatedly got his “best” swing off and peppered the pull-side gap with legitimate extra base hit prowess in the box. A 91 mph peak bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball, 42% line drive rate, and 8% hard hit percentage were all standout metrics and should only continue increasing as he adds more strength. Defensively: The primary outfielder wowed with advanced feel for his body in space and natural instincts on routes towards the baseball, got downhill at the fielding window while approaching off of the left side of his body, soft glove hand and smooth transfers to the throwing ear, and an accurate / quick, high ¾ slot with more than enough carry to it. The arm strength popped and gave him multiple high level tools along with speed and power. High ceiling prospect who could handle any of the three OF positions at the next level. OF - 90 mph
