More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 85 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep hop while displaying fluid actions to the baseball. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 76 MPH.
7/13/21
Physical: Lean, leveraged 5-foot-9, 155lb frame and room to hold strength. 7.50 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Athletic, slightly bent stance from even as the hands operated loosely to start. Utilized a direct, lift and replace stride to the target, initiating the bat head through a flat path with good bat to ball skills. Featured high-level bat to ball skills, hitting behind the ball immediately out of the hand with adjustability to different quadrants. Posted an 83% line drive rate (via Trackman) in a natural top of the order type role. Sprayed hard contact from gap to gap, where it was pitched with ability to inside out the baseball on the inner half. Matched pitch plane with confidence and recorded a T83 mph exit velocity at his peak.
Defensively: The primary shortstop moved around with good range in either direction. Beat the ball to the spot with quality posture at a lower position. Fielded cleanly out in front with momentum towards the bag with choppy, right-left footwork at the window. Maintained pace and released from a H ¾ slot up to 71 mph.
