Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
Physical: Advanced strength present in a large / compact 6-foot, 195-pound frame. 7.34 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: RHH. Controlled setup with a bend in the knees as the backside held the momentum with the hands starting flat above the shoulder. Utilized a lift and replace stride with weight shift into a stiff front side allowing the hands to work through a flat barrel path with lift after impact. High intent throughout the swing with ability to pepper the pull-side gap with legitimate XBH pop in the bat, matched pitch plane early and often getting through the ball with authority at extension, had no issues timing up velocity in game action when we’ve seen him and consistently gets off hellacious cuts in the box. Recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 90 mph per Trackman Baseball / notched a 60% ground ball rate, 40% line drive rate during his round. A 20.1 mph max hand speed according to Blast Motion is more than enough to suggest a power hitter mold as he continues maturing. Defensively: The primary first baseman showcased a moderate setup in the posture and moved well for his size around the bag while light on his feet. Solid footwork on double play turns generated the ability to use inside footwork, quick and repeatable transfers to the throwing ear, and an accurate high ¾ slot on throws across the diamond. INF - 79 mph … The outfielder demonstrated adequate footwork in space with a good first step, feel for routes getting downhill through the baseball using a soft glove hand, throws carried with accuracy towards the dish. OF - 81 mph

Physical: Large and durable 6-foot, 195-pound frame with strength throughout the lower half. Pennsylvania College of Technology commit. 7.17 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance with the hands starting idle on the shoulder in the setup. Utilized a controlled lift and replace stride with some weight shift into a stiff front side while initiating the swing through a violent, slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Solid usage of ground power / rotational acceleration in the box and really created advanced leverage at impact, the ball jumped off of the barrel towards the pull-side gap while recording a peak bat-exit velocity of 92 mph according to Trackman Baseball. Flashed a 20% hard hit percentage during his round / maximum batted ball distance of 331 feet. Legitimate home run power when contacting the ball out in front of the plate and should fill a role in the middle of a collegiate lineup.
Defensively: The primary first baseman featured a medium center of gravity with adequate feel around the bag. Short footwork upon arriving to the baseball off of the left side of his body with a soft glove hand out in front. Can utilize the inside turn on double play footwork, accurate high ¾ slot across the diamond. INF - 81 mph
Pitching: RHP - Quick, repeatable side rocker step into a medium leg lift, average leg drive off of the backside with moderate posture at the land, accurate and quick high ¾ arm-slot as the FB ranged from 78-80 mph with a peak of 2135 spin per Trackman Baseball, mixed a sharp 64-66 mph CB with late 11/5 shape and hard downer action. Countered with a 71-74 mph CH with slight arm-side fade on occasion and deception at release.
