Utilized a leg-hang stride coupled with a bat wiggle at the top of the load in order to initiate a flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Turned the bat around early and often creating a slightly uphill path with extension through impact, generated plenty of backspin to the LCF gap with extra base hit prowess in the box. The lower half was extremely athletic and adjustable and allowed loose hands to play with high level bat to ball skills at the plate. Recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 91 mph according to Trackman Baseball / maximum batted ball distance of 311 feet.
Defensively: The primary shortstop featured a low center of gravity with long, rangy actions in the middle. Feel for lateral movements with rhythm on the approach while fielding off of the left foot with a soft glove hand that could push or give. Made the play on the run with athleticism and pace across the diamond, the arm worked through a high ¾ slot with a moderate arm circle. INF - 75 mph

The righty sat 74-77 off the mound from a 3/4 arm slot with a quick arm swing. Also commanded a curveball at 61-65 with 11/5 rotation and a changeup with good arm speed at 66-67.

Haftl is 5-9 with a lanky frame that has a lot of projection left to it as he fills out. Throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a short quick arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are level and closed, lands on line with an athletic finish. Fastball was 72-75 with hard late run to his armside. Slider was 61-64 with 10/4 break and some armspeed.
