Physical: Uber projectable, lengthy 6-foot-8, 210-pound frame with a very high ceiling, athleticism throughout the movements at that size with ability to continue adding strength and further honing the skills. West Virginia University commit.
Pitching: RHP - Short side rocker step with a moderate pace in the delivery, high leg kick slightly above the waist and races down the mound with intent and back leg drive towards the dish. Got extremely far out on the extension making his whippy, high ¾ release from a high arm circle play with even more velocity. The FB appeared at 88-91 mph with extra life and high spin (2242 RPM per Trackman Baseball) and mixed in a very good 75-77 mph CB with 11/5 shape for swing and misses. The curveball continues to develop and improve and on this date was the best we’ve seen it. Flashed an 80-82 mph CH with sell and near fastball arm-speed giving him a solid third offering.

Upright, even stance; medium stride. average effort with quick hands, efficient, flat path; 10 degree bat angle into the zone via Blast Motion. Porco is able to produce 8.9 G’s of force with an on-plane efficiency of 77%. Hard pull-side contact; average Trackman exit velocity of 82 MPH; peak exit velo was 95 MPH. Defensively: Wide base; Swift movements despite lengthy limbs, plays well low to the ground. smooth hands, clean transfer; quick, short arm swing with a 3/4 arm slot. INF - 84 MPH. Pitching: Sets up slightly offset on the first base side of the rubber and takes a small drop step, gets great extension and downhill on hitters. Short take back with a high 3/4 arm slot. FB: T 89MPH, 82-89 MPH. Plays well up in the zone, more velo to come. CB: 68-73 MPH. Sharp breaking, 11-5 shape. CH: 81-83 MPH. arm side run. OTHER: Split: 73-75 MPH; bottom falls out.
2/08/20
6-foot-7, 210-pound primary pitcher sat 88-90 while topping at 91 mph from a high 3/4 action with a loose, downhill delivery. Flashed athleticism and the potential for additional velocity with a more efficient use of his lower half. Changeup at 69-70 disappears at times and is thrown at fastball arm speed out of the same arm slot. Curveball at 62-66 with 11/5 rotation lags behind in development and may need to be scrapped and replaced by a cutter or a slider. The right-handed hitter displayed 88 mph arm strength and ran a 7.32 60-yard dash. Showcased athleticism at third base with solid lateral range and accurate 83 mph arm strength across the diamond.
