1/20/19 - 5-foot-8, 150-pound left-handed hitter starts from a square stance utilizing a lift and replace step. Showed a flat barrel through the zone with feel of where the barrel is. Can sometimes use hands to dominate the swing, but still registered a 76 mph bat exit velocity. Showed athleticism as evidenced by his 4.31 home-to-first time along with quick movements at first-base to go along with a 69 mph arm strength across the infield. Lefty delivers from a high 3/4 arm slot with a fastball that sat 70-72. Curveball was 58-61 with 1/7 break. Showed a 64-65 mph changeup while slightly slowing down his arm speed.
1/21/18 Offensively, initiates swing from slightly closed set up utilizing short stride while staying closed. Hands are loose and quick and there is good rhythm to swing. Early hand leak reduces separation and there is subtle top half drift present. Benefit would be gained from more aggressive use of lower half in working away from hands.
Defensively, Hands are adequate. Transfer is clean and quick. Young player shows solid athleticism in movements  and footwork as first baseman.
On the mound, working out of a high 3/4 arm slot there is solid hip coil, balance and rhythm to delivery. Ferris repeats well while staying in line. There is loose arm action with low effort. FB at 69 mph was cut to both glove and arm sides. CB sat 56-57 with 1-7 shape and rolling action. CH at 61-62 mph was thrown with slight slowing of arm while displaying subtle arm side fade.
