Offensively: RHH. Balanced, upright stance, as the hands operated calmly from a traditional place to hit off the shoulder. Utilized a simple leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a flat, rotational path into the hitting zone. Changed plane at times with an adjustable lower-half, which stayed grounded for a T87 mph exit velocity (313 foot distance). Featured consistent barrel awareness and a developing extra-base hit approach.
Defensively: The primary backstop showed his imposing build behind the dish, replacing the feet with a strong arm from a H ¾ slot on the catch-and-throw (2.07-2.16, 72 mph). Adequate receiver sticks the ball softly from a traditional stance.
Physical: Strong 6-foot, 220lb build with durable actions. 7.86 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Wide, spread out attack, as the hands operated calmly pre-slotted at the shoulder. Utilized a short leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a slightly uphill, connected path into the hitting zone. Good usage of the ground, and transferred energy into a stiff front side. Recorded a T88 mph bat-exit velocity, ball came heavy off the bat, and added a 305 foot distance to the LCF gap. Middle of the order ability.
Defensively: The primary backstop displayed adequate receiving skills with some pocket awareness out of a traditional setup. Pop times ranged under 2.20 in showcase setting, throwing accurately to the glove side of the bag at 68 mph. Short, efficient arm-stroke at H ¾.
Physical: High-waisted, strong 6-foot, 210lb frame. 7.68 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, just outside shoulder-width start, as the hands begin high and flat by the ear. Utilized a short leg lift stride to initiate the swing through a slightly uphill, vertical path into the hitting zone. Produced obvious lift in the approach, backspinning the ball to the pull-side gap for distance (50% fly ball rate, 310 feet max via Trackman). Could work across his body at times, but stiffened the front side to stop some extra rotation. Recorded a T86 mph bat-exit velocity with consistent doubles power.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured a traditional stance in the crouch, receiving with subtle give inward at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.13-2.22 with quick rhythm in the hips/shoulders to work in-line. Drove the backside through the front of the plate, carrying throws to arm-side (T71 mph arm).
