Physical: 5-foot-9, 140 pounds; Average, slight build. 8.85 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a compact swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 82 MPH via Trackman. Showed a high on-plane efficiency. Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; static during pre-pitch while covering ground laterally. Hands are out in front with a delay in transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 71 MPH. Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 76 MPH, while sitting 72-74 MPH; straight action. CB: 58-60 MPH; showed depth. CH: 63-64 MPH; maintains same plain.
3/12/22
Physical: Compact 5-foot-8, 140lb frame in a high-waisted build. 9.47 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Crouched, even stance, as the hands operated just above the shoulder to begin. Utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a clean, deep turn towards a flat path into the hitting zone. Really hit behind the ball, producing hard pull-side gap contact for extra-bases. Recorded a T75 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak, much more in the tank as he matures, actions work.
Defensively: Average pace to the ball from the hot corner with a taller posture on the approach. Fielded off his left side with one-hand at times, gathering into the chest on the funnel, and released up to 62 mph across the diamond.
Pitching: RHP - Deep rocker step, coming balanced at the stack and getting to a solid stride length at release. H ¾ slot that repeated, 65-67 mph FB with arm-side run back over the plate. Mixed a sweeping 56-58 mph CB on an 11/5 tilt, has a chance.
