Physical: Lean, athletic 5-foot-6, 145-pound frame with more to come as he matures. 7.41 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Slightly bent, upright stance with the hands wiggling high at ear height. Utilized a quick leg lift stride in order to initiate the swing through a flat path and into the hitting zone. Featured some burst in a high intent stroke with ability to get leveraged at the front of the plate. Adjustable lower half allowed for modified barrel angles on different quadrants of the plate yielding a standout 70% line drive rate per Trackman Baseball. An 82 mph bat-exit velocity should continue increasing as he adds strength and an 88% on plane efficiency according to Blast Motion points to already advanced bat to ball skills offensively.
Defensively: The primary outfielder demonstrated solid feel during defensive evaluations picking out a hop and attacking it at the fielding window off his right foot on the approach. Good posture with downhill chest angles and used rhythm in the transfers to get rid of the ball out of a quick, high ¾ slot. Accurate 72 mph arm strength from his position with room for more.
2/23/20
Showcased an ultra-lean 5-foot-5, 135-pound frame with room to add strength and feel for his body. The left-handed hitter begins with a balanced, even stance utilizing a quick leg-lift stride to initiate his swing. Demonstrated feel for his hands through a flat barrel path yielding a line drive approach to all fields during batting practice. Featured occasional pull-side lift when contacting the ball out in front and displayed some fluidity in a short stroke that will play when he fills out his frame. Recorded a 70 mph bat-exit velocity and ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. The primary outfielder took quality routes to the baseball using active footwork with a quick first step and low center of gravity to create range to both sides. Generated an accurate 69 mph arm-strength from his position out of a repeatable, high ¾ arm-slot.
