6/12/18 Defensively, actions are athletic and range is substantial. Hands are adequate. There is tendency to sit back and play the ball deep. Would benefit from being more aggressive in attacking and playing through the ball.
Offensively, initiates swing from neutral set up with short stride staying neutral. There is slight back foot movement toward pitcher prior to stride. Hip turn and backside release are solid while working into a firm front side. Subtle hand drop and early leak reduce separation and contribute to an uphill swing path. A bat exit velocity of 77 mph was recorded.
On the mound, works out of mid 3/4 arm slot and shows ability to consistently repeat low effort delivery. Arm action is long and loose. Benefit would be gained from increased hip coil and overall greater utilization of lower half. FB at 73-77 was true. CB at 64 mph showed 11-5 shape and at best late, short break. CH at 65 mph was thrown with reasonable sell and consistent arm side fade.
