Physical: Athletic 5-foot-10, 170lb frame. 7.02 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Crouched, loose stance, as the hands played in rhythm by the ear. Utilized a short lift and replace stride that connected to the ground, initiating the swing through a slight uphill path with some burst into the zone. High two-handed finish, showing intent to the pull-side gap during his BP round; adjustable hitter that matched plane early. XBH during gameplay 92 mph exit velocity and 344 foot distance. Trending upwards in the class.
Defensively: The shortstop bounced around the infield with light feet that rounded the ball. Bent at the waist and funneled inward cleanly, releasing in rhythm out of a useful power V slot (83 mph INF arm, accurate). Able to throw from multiple angles on the run.
6/15/21
Physical: Lean, athletic 5-foot-9, 160lb frame with tangible feel for the game. 7.12 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Upright, even stance with a loose operation as the hands appeared in rhythm above the shoulder. Utilized a lift and replace stride out towards the pitcher getting to a wide base before launching through a flat path into the hitting zone. Able to create leverage at the front of the plate, generating a strong hip turn as the trigger resulting in big-time juice to the pull-side when getting extended. Posted a T91 mph bat-exit velocity with top of the order consideration and early connection at the plate, notching a 57% line drive rate per Trackman and a near 330 foot batted ball distance.
Defensively: The primary shortstop featured choppy feet, gaining ground down towards the target with momentum in the chest. An accurate, soft glove hand funneled cleanly to the waist line, releasing in rhythm at a H ¾ slot (83 mph arm, carries, accurate). True left side abilities with rangy movements in either direction and a lightning quick first step.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the middle, right side of the rubber with athleticism in the delivery, adequate pace. Worked balanced to the top of the stack, getting into footstrike on time at H ¾. The FB ranged from 77-79 mph with strike-throwing skills, filling it up early and often at the knees. Mixed a quality 63-65 mph CB he got on top of, manipulating depth late on its descent to the plate.
7/15/20
Physical: Lean and athletic 5-foot-8, 155-pound frame with ability to continue adding strength as he matures. 7.45 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Begins with a balanced, even stance with controlled rhythm bouncing off of the shoulder in the setup. Utilized a launch position slightly above the shoulder coupled with a leg-hang stride to initiate a short and flat barrel path into the hitting zone with lift directly after contact. Was able to get inside the inner half pitch with tight turns and ambushed pitches out over the plate showing feel for extension with the arms. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 85 mph according to Trackman Baseball with an adjustable / athletic lower half .. Was repeatedly on time at the front of the plate generating hard contact, registered a 27% line drive rate during his round.
Defensively: The primary shortstop showcased adequate footwork arriving on time to the baseball while fielding off of the left side of his body. Short, choppy footwork with a semi stiff glove hand. The arm worked accurately out of a high ¾ slot using a moderate / quick arm circle. INF - 77 mph
