Physical: Lean, athletic frame with projection at 5-foot-11, 155lbs. 7.28 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Wider, slightly open setup with slight hip coil over the backside and rhythm in the hands. Utilized a short, directional lift and replace stride out towards the pitcher allowing for a flat, fluid bat path to enter the hitting zone. Good rotational scores, staying on a line through the middle/pull side of the field (50% line drive rate via Trackman) finding success on multiple swings for extra-bases up to 302 foot batted ball distance during his batting practice round. Doubles power reinforced with a T90 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak with noticeable connection at the plate.
Defensively: The primary outfielder operated with grace and natural feel for his body in space, fielding off the left side of his body and exchanged accurately with down chest angles. Released from a lengthy H ¾ slot up to 85 mph arm strength as the feet carried directional shuffles to the plate. Rangy defender and able to use his left side with confidence, rounding down with momentum at the fielding window.
10/17/20
Physical: 5-foot-10, 145 pounds; long, lanky frame. 7.56 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Very open stance with a torso that stays rotated away from the pitcher, works in high hands with an upright barrel as well; works through a simple stride back even while his torso stays counter rotated . Lunges out of his back leg load but turns the hip on time with some aggression with a long swing with an arm bar that allows him to get his hands extended over the plate. Connected well throughout his round and knocked line drives all over the field; peak Trackman exit velocity of 82 MPH. Defensively: Tall, upright stance with athletic bend in the knees and waist; moved very well to the ball, tracked it nicely and stayed behind it to gain some momentum into the throw. Gets low to the ground to field with both hands that allow him to transfer quickly; Reaches back, engaging his scap effectively and releases through a long, 3/4 slot. OF - 76 MPH.
