Physical: Lean / athletic 5-foot-9, 155-pound frame with room to continue adding strength as he matures. 6.91 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Bent, open stance with the barrel bouncing off of the shoulder in the setup. Utilized a quick toe tap stride while landing slightly closed upon footstrike allowing the hands to work through a whippy, flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Short time to contact with high level hand speed (up to 23.70 peak hand speed per Blast Motion), repeatedly matched plane early and let the hands jolt through the baseball, pulled off slightly towards the finish before getting deep through extension on occasion. Demonstrated a mostly pull-side approach during batting practice with a top bat-exit velocity of 86 mph per Trackman Baseball / maximum batted ball distance of 282 feet.
Defensively: The primary outfielder featured natural instincts in space and a quick first step, above average straight line footspeed at 6.91 sec. 60-yard allowed for the ability to cover gap to gap with ease. Got downhill through the fielding window while approaching the ball off of the left side of his body with a soft glove hand. Accurate, high ¾ arm-slot with quickness at release. OF - 82 mph
Pitching: RHP - Above average pace in the delivery, side rocker step into a medium leg lift with good directional drive off of the backside towards the plate, quick high ¾ arm-slot with repeatability, got over the front side well. FB ranged from 81-84 mph with an upwards of 2264 spin per Trackman Baseball, mixed in a 70-72 mph CB showing tight 11/5 shape and late depth, up to 2352 rpms. Countered with a 75-76 mph CH with slight arm side fade on occasion and deception out of the hand. Dropped in a 74-75 mph SL with different plane holding late horizontal action across the zone.
10/26/19
5-foot-9, 145-pound righty sat 81-82 from a 3/4 arm slot with a short, quick arm motion. Curveball at 68-72 has short, late 11/5 break. Cutter works well off of the curveball with a short, flat break at 74-74. Changeup is thrown with good sell at 71-72 with some arm-side fade. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a toe tap stride. Showcased balance throughout with a feel for the barrel. Registered a bat exit velocity of 80 mph and ran a 7.03 60-yard dash. Flashed athletic actions defensively while routinely playing through the baseball with 81 mph arm strength from the outfield.
12/30/17
5-foot-8, 135-pound two-way prospect showcased a solid two-way skill set. Ran a 7.32 60-yard dash and played through the baseball consistently with 77 mph arm strength from the outfield. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a leg-lift stride. A deep load creates some length in the swing, but displayed a feel for the barrel and a bat exit velocity of 76 mph. The primary pitcher sat 76-77 from a 3/4 arm slot with loose, very quick arm action. The fastball shows current armside run and has a chance to be very heavy. Changeup is thrown at near fastball arm speed with some sink and armside run. Curveball is still in development at 64-68.
