Physical: The Millersville University commit stands a durable, strong 6-foot-2, 195lbs with some athleticism.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the far left side of the rubber operating with quick pace out of the stack position; got balanced and used a controlled backside drive leg to create powerful momentum down the slope. Repeated well with some drop/drive in his delivery, releasing from a jumpy, H ¾ slot to the plate. The FB ranged from 86-89 mph at >2200rpms for strikes at the bottom of the zone. Showed good arm-side run in on RHH for weak contact, mixing a short 77-79 mph SL that he threw in any count (43% zone rate). Countered with a moderately fading 76-78 mph CH at 1278rpms as a solid third offering.
6/13/21
Physical: The Millersville recruit stands a durable, imposing 6-foot-2, 195lbs with above-average feel on the bump and velocity numbers.
Pitching: RHP - Wasted no time attacking the zone with lots of movement/quickness from a ¾ sinker slot. Held consistent pace and drop/drive while hiding the ball on the back hip until release. Worked mostly 89-91 mph with hard run in on RHH, making it impossible to square up. Countered with a depth filled 71-73 mph breaker that missed barrels, going to a harder 74-77 mph SL with short, hard tilt when ahead. A 79-81 mph CH was the complementary fourth offering with swing and miss projection to LHH; low IVB profile and could fade out on occasion. Ready to make his presence known at the next level with the ability to step in as a day one starter.
3/06/21
Physical: 6’2 195 RHP/OF. Solid physical build with room to add quickness and speed throughout the body.
Pitching: He uses a high hands over his head movement to begin his windup before driving off his back side towards the catcher. He showed ability to mix multiple pitches in the strike zone and flash some velo along with those. More controlled out of the stretch as he engaged his rear leg significantly more.
