Physical: Long levers in a projectable 6-foot-1, 183lb starter’s frame.
Pitching: LHP. Slower pace off the far right corner of the rubber; takes the ball out of the glove late with a whippy, quick arm from lower ¾ slot. Attacked from 80-82 mph at 2280rpms with hard arm-side run in on lefties. Mixed sweeping 72-74 mph SL with tight cut and quality 74-78 mph straight CH to round out the arsenal. Makes for a funky at-bat against with more velocity to be had in the near future.
6/15/21
Physical: Lengthy, uber-projectable 6-foot-4, 170lb frame with long limbs and funky presence on the bump.
Pitching: LHP - Started from the stretch only off the middle/right side of the rubber. Operated towards a high, quick leg lift to the chest, holding closed and hiding the baseball while working down the slope with athleticism, pace into footstrike. Released from a long, whippy ¾ slot that showed smoothly out in front (FB ranged 77-79 mph, sink and natural arm-side run in on LHH, tough L/L matchup). Mixed a swing/miss 66-68 mph CB that he was able to leverage for strikeouts (1/7 tilt, sweep). Higher ceiling arm and velocity is coming.
2/23/20
6-foot-2, 145-pound lanky primary pitcher sat 74-76 from a sidearm slot with a fastball that was relatively flat. Curveball at 63-64 showed horizontal slider shape. The left-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing from a deep load position with a flat barrel path. Registered a bat exit velocity of 72 mph and ran an 8.01 60-yard dash. Displayed developing defensive skills in the outfield with 72 mph arm strength.
