1/14/18 Defensively, developing player flashed softhands. Benefit would be gined from attacking and playing though baseball as while as shortening throwing motion.

Offensively, initiates swing from neutral set up with stride to slightly closed. There is a solid weight shift and hip turn with adequate separation. Overall swing is mechanically solid for young player and should play correlative to improved bat speed sure to come with physical maturation.

On the mound, Fiolek works out of high 3/4 arm slot with a repeatable delivery. Good balance, timing and rhythm are demonstrated. FB at 60-62 mph has little movement. CB sat 49-50 mph with 11-5 shape and rolling action. CH is commanded with adequate sell while having little movement. Benefit would be gained from more aggressive use of lower half in driving over front side. Overall, delivery is solid for young pitcher.
