The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a fairly lengthy leg-lift stride that allows his head to travel. Displayed good hands and a feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 81 mph. Ran a 7.39 60-yard dash and played through the baseball routinely with accurate 77 mph arm strength from his outfield position. The right-hander sat 74-77 from a high 3/4 arm slot out of an overhead rocker delivery. As he develops into his frame Donton has a chance to see significant velocity gains. He also showcased a curveball that is still in development at 61-64 with 10/4 rotation.
