Athletic frame at 6-foot, 175-pounds. Calvarese was one of the more interesting arms to watch on the weekend. Delivery had pace and rhythm, gathered over the rubber, shoulders closed, and lands closed at stride. Arm was quick and short with some deception from a lower three-quarter arm slot. Fastball sat 77-81 T82 with hard ASR that got under the hands of righties multiple times. Slider had arm speed and intent with tight action at 72-74 mph. Showed ability to back door it and back foot it when facing lefties. Calvarese is an intriguing right hander to keep an eye on.
