The highest Edge Score within the given year. Edge Score is a comprehensive score that takes the core-six visual skills into account, providing an assessment of an athlete’s overall visual ability.
Physical: Strong 6-foot-1, 185lb frame with a mix of athleticism and feel to his game. 7.47 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Slightly open, balanced stance with the hands showing rhythm. Utilized a short/controlled toe tap to initiate a flat, whippy path into the hitting zone towards a shallow/low finish at the backside shoulder. Worked up to a T90 mph bat-exit velocity and recorded a near 340 foot batted ball distance with efficient, sequenced actions that packed a punch at the front of the plate. Used good weight shift into a stiff/adjustable front side, creating some loft in the approach towards middle/pull at a 57% fly ball rate via Trackman Baseball. Added good bat to ball skills that carried over to a couple good swings in game-action.
Defensively: The shortstop moved connected, right-left, right-left down to the baseball, adding pace on his routes. Fielded cleanly in the middle of his body with a funnel into the beltline. Accurate, ¾ slot on the release and followed his throws to the target (77 mph arm).
Pitching: RHP - Started off the left side of the rubber with a pause at the rocker; got to a balanced stack position before using drop/drive outward with separation towards the plate. Landed wide and released from a fluid ¾ slot, producing FB’s ranging from 81-83 mph with consistent arm-side run. Pounded the zone at the knees and then added a harder 74-76 mph CB with short movement (occasional depth) mixing a more confident 71-73 mph SL for strikes. A 73-75 mph CH was able to land in any count (50% zone rate) with mostly straight movement at the moment (3+ inches HM AVG).

Physical: 6’ 180lb SS/RHP ran a 7.30 laser timed 60-yard dash. Solid frame has room to add strength and size.
Offensively: Starts with an average base and a slightly open stance. He uses a short toe tap to get his front foot back to parallel. Has a slight delay as he loads back and waits to fire the barrel in the hitting zone. The barrel works up through the ball, finishing with a full backswing.
Defensively: Uses active feet as he moves to put his body in a good position to receive the ball. He lowers his center of gravity as he approaches the ball and catches with a smooth glove. His arm works from multiple arm angles depending on the play.
Pitching: Has an overall controlled windup. He has a short and quick arm swing, mixing 3 pitches with accuracy (FB,SL,CH). Seems to lack max effort, but maintains control of body throughout the pitch.
