Physical: Stocky, durable 5-foot-11, 190lb frame with mound presence.
Pitching: RHP - Begins off of the middle of the rubber using a drop step and swings the leg towards a balanced stack. Lots of pace involved, creating fluid separation on the front-side. Clean extension down the mound and reached into the glove with an 85-87 mph FB at 2427rpms. Spun a sharp 73-76 mph CB and more lateral 73-77 mph SL on different axes, allowing him to manipulate the pitch. Then mixed a developing 80-83 mph CH that showed flashes.
6/15/21
Physical: Strong/durable 5-foot-11, 190lb frame with a physical lower half and above-average mound presence. Smooth movements on the rubber and challenged hitters.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the middle of the rubber with a fast paced delivery, swinging the leg to the top of the stack at a balanced position and racing down the slope with good separation, arm-speed through H ¾. Athletic operation and pounded the zone with ride/explosive looks up above the belt (FB ranged 83-86 mph, 29 Bauer units, 20 inch IVB AVG via Trackman). Mixed a sharp 70-73 mph SL up to T23 inches of HM flashing plus at times, spinning near 2300rpms for strikeouts.
7/15/20
Physical: Strong and physical 5-foot-10, 175-pound frame with a well put together build. 7.90 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance as the hands start with slight rhythm by the ear coupled with a heel bounce on the ground. Utilized a leg-lift stride to initiate a fluid and efficient, flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Repeatedly released the hands towards impact at the front of the plate while hitting into a stiff front side, used the middle of the field from CF to LCF during batting practice with advanced feel for the barrel / high level bat to ball skills. Some twitch present in the hands while recording a top bat-exit velocity of 86 mph according to Trackman Baseball / a max distance of 311 feet.
Defensively: The primary third baseman featured a low center of gravity and good body posture at the fielding window while playing through the baseball off of the middle/left side of his body. Soft glove hand that worked out in front, but sometimes got deep, accurate high ¾ slot with ability to make the play on the run. INF - 80 mph
2/29/20
Physical: 5-foot-10, 175-pounds. Strong, physical frame. 7.87 runner in the 60; 4.77 home-to-1B. Offensively: RHH. Tall, upright stance with his knees slightly bent, hands out in front of his body and level with his chin, hands work back and down on load along with a toe tap and a small stride for timing Swing is flat to the ball and finishes on a slightly uphill plane, aggressive lower half. Hard contact up the middle and to his pull side. 78 MPH raw exit velocity. Defensively: Starts low and moves well laterally, soft hands that fields the ball in the middle of his body, gets rid of the ball quickly. Long arm swing with a 3/4 arm slot. INF - 74 MPH. Pitching: Balanced, repeatable delivery with a high leg lift before sitting into back leg as strides out in line, reaches up and across with glove arm before pulling through against a firm front side. Long, loose arm swing to a high 3/4 slot. FB: T76, 74-76 MPH. Works downhill into the zone. CB: 62-63 MPH. 12-6 shape with early break. CH: 68-68 MPH. Maintains arm speed.
